4. Definitions & Legal Framework

4.1 Introduction

The purpose of this Chapter is to establish the legal definitions used throughout the AKBSTOCK Legal Foundation and all related agreements, policies and licenses.

Unless otherwise specified, the following terms shall have the meanings described below. These definitions are intended to ensure consistency, transparency and legal clarity across the AKBSTOCK platform.

4.2 AKBSTOCK

“AKBSTOCK” refers to the digital textile design platform, website, brand, Products, services, technology, software, content and related business operations owned and operated by AKBSTOCK.

shall refer to AKBSTOCK.

4.3 Website

A “Product” means any digital artwork, textile design or downloadable digital asset offered by AKBSTOCK.

Products may include, but are not limited to:

• Kurti Front Panels
• Dupatta Layouts
• Full Kurti Sets
• Home Décor Designs
• Surface Pattern Collections
• Textile Graphics
• Future Digital Products

4.8 Artwork

“Artwork” refers to any visual creative work distributed through AKBSTOCK, including illustrations, textile graphics, patterns, layouts, compositions, decorative elements and other digital artistic content.

4.9 Original File

“Original File” means the downloadable high-resolution digital file supplied to the Customer after a successful purchase or as otherwise permitted by the applicable License.

Original Files may be provided in formats determined by AKBSTOCK.

4.10 Preview Image

“Preview Image” means any low-resolution image, thumbnail, watermarked image or promotional display used to represent a Product before purchase.

Preview Images are intended solely for evaluation and marketing purposes and do not grant usage rights.

4.11 Digital Product

“Digital Product” means any electronically delivered content that does not involve physical shipment.

All AKBSTOCK Products are Digital Products unless explicitly stated otherwise.

4.12 License

A “License” is the permission granted by AKBSTOCK allowing limited use of a Product under specified terms.

Purchasing a Product grants only the rights expressly described within the applicable License. No additional rights shall be implied.

4.13 Commercial License

A “Commercial License” means a license that permits the Customer to use a Product for approved commercial purposes, subject to the terms and restrictions stated in the applicable Commercial License Agreement.

The Commercial License does not transfer ownership or copyright of the Product to the Customer.

4.14 Subscription License

A “Subscription License” means a license granted to an eligible Customer through an active AKBSTOCK subscription plan.

Use of Products obtained through a subscription remains subject to the applicable Subscription License Agreement and the terms of the Customer’s subscription plan.

4.15 Exclusive License

An “Exclusive License” means a license under which AKBSTOCK grants specific exclusive usage rights for a Product, subject to the terms stated in the applicable Exclusive License Agreement.

The exact scope, duration and limitations of exclusivity shall be determined by that agreement.

4.16 Free Collection

A “Free Collection” means Products made available by AKBSTOCK without a purchase price.

Free Products remain subject to the applicable license terms and restrictions. Availability without charge does not mean that the Product is free from copyright or other intellectual property rights.

4.17 Download

“Download” means the electronic transfer of a Product or Original File from AKBSTOCK to a User or Customer through an authorized method provided by the Website.

A Download does not transfer ownership or copyright unless expressly stated in writing.

4.18 Intellectual Property

“Intellectual Property” includes copyrights, trademarks, trade names, logos, artwork, designs, graphics, software, databases, website content and other proprietary materials or rights associated with AKBSTOCK and its Products.

4.19 Copyright

“Copyright” refers to the legal rights protecting original creative works, including textile designs, graphics, illustrations, patterns and other eligible creative content distributed through AKBSTOCK.

4.20 Trademark

“Trademark” refers to names, logos, symbols, brand identifiers or other marks used to identify AKBSTOCK, its Products or its services.

4.21 AI Systems

“Artificial Intelligence Systems” include machine learning models, generative AI systems, neural networks, datasets, training pipelines and similar technologies capable of learning from digital content.

Use of AKBSTOCK Products in AI Systems shall be governed by the applicable License Agreement and AI Usage Policy.

4.22 Third-Party Services

“Third-Party Services” include payment gateways, hosting providers, analytics providers, communication services and other external technologies integrated with the Website.

AKBSTOCK may rely upon such services for its operation while maintaining responsibility for its own policies and customer commitments.
